I Wrote a Book!

What if you had a way to let the children in your life know just how cherished they are by God?

What if you could sing a song of God’s plan for their life?

What if you could instill them with their true God-given identities?

That’s the heartbeat behind my BRAND NEW children’s book, What He Said to Me.

Several years ago, my friend, Peter Neumann, was challenged to write a song based on Mark 10. In the story, children race toward Jesus, but his disciples try to send them away. This became the basis for the song, ”What He Said to Me”

The song made its way into my playlist and cycled through my car audio. Each time, I would be reminded of God’s deep love for His children and envisioned the song as a book children could hold in their hands.

Music has a powerful effect on memory. Children respond to music before they ever learn to speak and as soon as they learn to talk, they begin to sing.  As a kindergarten teacher, I sing with my students daily to reinforce routines, instill concepts and encourage behavior.

I wanted children to see, hear, read and sing about how Jesus cherishes them.

The chorus of the song, repeated by Jesus says;

I made you just the way I wanted.

You are a very big deal to me.

There’s a grand plan for you,

A person only you can be.

The next generation needs to know the truth of who they are. They are created by God on purpose, for a purpose. Accessing this life simply requires running into His open and welcoming arms. And if an adult child of God, reading the story to a child is reminded of how much they are loved? That’s an added bonus.

Would you help me spread this message of purpose and unconditional love by sharing this book with the children in your life? Here are three ways you can help.

  1. Order a copy to keep and one to share.
