Shannon Chambley has a heart for children and teaching. Her career in early childhood education has offered her the opportunity to impact the lives of hundreds of children in the US and abroad. She currently spends her days with the sweetest class of kindergarten students at a Christian classical school in Florida. Her desire is to positively impact each child that crosses her path and she values the opportunity to know, love and support the families that raise them. In doing so, her hope is that the impact God has had on her life will influence the lives of her students well beyond the time spent together in a single school year.

She enjoys reading to her students and grandchildren. Her favorite children’s books are Katy No-Pocket, The Little House, Blueberries for Sal and The Jesus Storybook Bible. The book that she loves to read and re-read is Too Small to Ignore: Why the Least of These Matters Most by Wess Stafford. One quote in particular from Too Small to Ignore has arrested her heart and provided purpose for her work.

“I have become convinced that if God stands a child before you, for even just a minute, it is a divine appointment”.

Shannon’s life was changed for the best when, at the tender age of 8, her dad introduced her to the saving love of Jesus. Her faith has sustained her through the ups and downs of life and back to back seasons of hard. She is a breast cancer survivor and can attest to the fact that God is a trustworthy anchor during the storms of life. She has survived with her joy in tact and wants the same for you.

Shannon has been married to her husband Mike for more than 30 years. Together they have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. Mike and Shannon enjoy hiking, British period pieces and coffee on the back porch.  Her  best days are spent in comfy clothes, coffee in hand, enjoying a good book or chatting over lunch with a friend.
